WV OMEGA launches 2012 August Make-A-Wish Campaign

The West Virginia Oil Marketers & Grocers Association (OMEGA) is conducting an August campaign to raise funds to make wishes come true for West Virginia children with life-threatening medical conditions.

OMEGA is partnering with both the southern and northern chapters of Make-A-Wish. Wish stars will be sold for one dollar at nearly 550 OMEGA-member convenience and grocery stores across the state from Aug. 1 - Aug. 31. The association will also hold a golf tournament in September 26 at Stonewall Resort to raise additional funds.

Last year, this campaign raised $203,074, which resulted in nearly 64 wishes being granted.  OMEGA hopes to raise even more this year.  Since 2003, OMEGA has raised $1.4 million for charities that improve the health, safety and well-being of West Virginia children.  Make-A-Wish is extremely grateful to OMEGA for its dedicated efforts to make a life-changing impact on the lives of our West Virginia wish kids and families.

OMEGA held media events at Foodland (TWJ, Inc.) in Parkersburg and Par Mar Stores in Fairmont.
