East Penn School District Carnations for a Cause

During their Carnations for a Cause fundraiser, students in the gifted programs at Macungie, Jefferson and Lincoln schools raised $1,007 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation®. Macungie students are pictured gathering together before the coloring of the carnations. Students sold the carnations during their school's Open House. Under the direction of their teacher, Nicole Wukitch, students helped organize the fundraiser from start to finish by creating advertisements, finding supplies, contacting local flower shops and finally selling the flowers during an Open House at each school. Many local flower shops offered a discount or donated flowers for the event. The carnation booth at the school's Open House is pictured here.
