Minersville Elementary School Bunny Hoppin' for Wishes

On Friday, March 18, 2011, the students in grades 1 through 3 participated in the O'Bunny Hoppin' for Wishes event at Minersville Elementary Center. Both teachers and students had fun creating bunny ears to wear during the official hop. They also practiced the dance steps during gym class in the weeks leading upto the big day. Each student acquired sponsorship donations and then on the official day, hopped for 2 minutes while the school played The Bunny Hop theme. Pictured are Miss Skavinsky's class practicing their moves in the classroom before the actual hop. The 2010 Bunny Hoppin' for Wishes program had 5 schools & 5 daycares participate, and they raised over $18,000. This picture shows Mrs. Purcell's class in action. Mackenzie Briggs, in the pink shirt, was the top fundraiser in her class raising $125. Go Mackenzie!
