Erie Waffles & Wishes

Around 150 supporters came to the Ambassador Banquet & Conference Center in Erie, PA, for the first-ever Waffles & Wishes event on Thursday, April 26, 2012.  The event netted nearly $9,000. The program for the event! Guests enjoy a special waffle breakfast. Many guests enjoying their breakfast. Nick Scott, Jr., Owner and Vice President of Scott Enterprises, came to speak about his company's support for Make-A-Wish.  Scott Enterprises was the sponsor of the event.
Regional Director Jan Stork speaks about the mission of Make-A-Wish. Kim Thomas, Evening Co-Anchor of JET24, was the emcee for the event. One of the guest speakers was Meghan Bool, a Make-A-Wish volunteer and former wish child. Dr. David Iadeluca of Iadeluca Chiropractic also spoke about the impact of Make-A-Wish. Kim Thomas watches on as wish family Lisa and Daniel Chinsky speak about their experiences with Make-A-Wish.
Wish kid Sophia and her parents are asked to come up on stage.... A surprised Sophia can't believe she is the guest of honor at the event and her Walt Disney World® wish is being revealed! A smiling Sophia stands on stage with her mom. Sophia, her family, and a group ready to present Sophia with gifts and details about her wish. A representative from Macy's presents Sophia with a gift box and tells her she will be receiving a special Macy's experience that day after the event.
Sophia enjoys her Waffles & Wishes breakfast with her dad. Sophia and her mom head to the limo after the event... A smiling Sophia on her way to Macy's...
