Reid Has Boatloads of Fun on His New Pirate Ship Playset
Reid is a sweet six-year-old boy who loves to play outside with his puppy, challenges his family to games of Hi Ho Cherry-O! and enjoys cartoons. An avid sports fan, Reid watches as many Pittsburgh Steelers games as possible and likes to play catch with his father.
As someone who always likes an adventure, Reid knew right away that he wanted a pirate ship play set when he was given the opportunity to make a wish. He was so excited to meet with his volunteers and could not wait to tell them all about his idea. He knew the pirate ship was something that he could use every day and thought it would make the perfect addition to his back yard.
Before he knew it, Reid received his pirate ship. It was so big that he could not believe his eyes! At his unveiling party, Reid could hardly contain his excitement and was thrilled to be the first person to yell “Ahoy!” from the top of the ship.
He loves sliding down the ship’s slide, swinging on it and pretending that he and his siblings are characters from Peter Pan. The ship came complete with a fort, walking plank, three swings, a steering wheel and a rope wall.
His parents are grateful for the play set because not only does it put a smile on Reid’s face every time he looks out the window, but by playing outside, Reid is getting therapeutic benefits without even realizing it!
Reid’s family is extremely happy to see his wish come true. This is the happiest they have seen him in a long time. “It’s great to see him so happy and to know that he feels so special,” said Reid’s mom. “It’s sometimes difficult to get him to come inside for dinner. He wants to play for hours!” Thanks to Reid’s new play set, he can enjoy the great outdoors even more!
