Benji's Surprise

Sam's Club and Walmart Team Up to Grant Benji's Computer Wish

The Make-A-Wish Foundation, with the help of Sam's Club and Walmart, gave seven-year-old Benji a surprise Christmas present this past December. One morning, Benji's parents told him that they would stop by his school to pick him up for a doctor's appointment so he shouldn't be surprised when the principal asked him out of class. But when he stepped outside, he saw a stretch limousine, ready to whisk him off for his wish. He thought to himself, "I'm not going to the doctor's office!" But his parents wouldn't tell him where they were going.

As soon as Benji and his family pulled up to Sam's Club, he noticed Santa Claus and one of his elves standing outside waiting for him. Benji tucked his head back inside the limo and said to his parents, "Santa Claus is here! This is going to be big!" Benji was right.

With dozens of Sam's Club partners and Walmart associates cheering him on, Benji, along with Santa Claus and the elf, skipped into the store. Benji noticed a very big present...with his name on it. He tore it open to find the computer he had been imagining for so long. "This is cool!" After checking out all of the computer's features, Benji was presented with special wrapped gifts. From gift cards to movies to computer games, Benji was more amazed with each gift, swearing the each one was his favorite. His smile didn't dim for one moment. He smiled, he giggled, and he never once forgot to say, "Thank you!" After choosing a printer, and a few accessories, Benji noticed everyone gathering again. They had one more suprise for Benji -- a very special cake, decorated with the words "Benji, wishes do come true!"
