Spills and Thrills
Michael Visits the Set of ABC’s Wipeout
Eleven-year-old Michael can't get enough of the bounces, splashes and crashes as he watches contestants attempt the difficult obstacle course on his favorite show, ABC's Wipeout. When this fun-loving wish kid from Aliquippa, PA, was given the opportunity to make a wish, he knew right away that he wanted to visit the set of Wipeout. Michael was overwhelmed with excitement and couldn't wait for the day of his wish to arrive. For his big wish, Michael and his family traveled to sunny Los Angeles. When Michael arrived at the large outdoor set, he was given a tour and then blew the horn to let the contestants know that it was time for the fun to begin! During the filming of the show, Michael had the opportunity to watch many great wipeouts. After all contestants had finished, this special wish kid and his family enjoyed hanging out in the control room.
Before Michael and his family took a break for lunch, the executive producer of the show had all the stunt people do a show. They flipped off the big red balls and fell into the water with a big splash. Michael enjoyed the show and even liked getting wet!
Michael's wish wasn't over yet. Before leaving the set, Michael became a star when he and his family were interviewed by Access Hollywood, an entertainment newsmagazine. It certainly had been a day full of surprises. Michael had a smile on his face the whole time and enjoyed a lot of laughs. Michael's photos will help him to always remember his special wish experience.
